Positiv: Amazing location up in the mountains, beautiful views, clean apartment, nice dishes and pans. Parking right in front of house.

Negativ: The beds were very uncomfortable/hard, even my kids thought so. Could also use more pillows

Awesome Apartment at Grindelwald

Positiv: Super Gorgeous location. 10/10 for location. It was scary when we arrived as it was dark by the time we reached and it was really on top of Grindelwald, just near the mountains, but the view in the morning was simply amazing. Will surely try to book again when i come back to Grindelwald.

Negativ: Only a few things we don't like, and on top of that was a weird rule to throw away your waste almost 500 meters down the hill in a container. It was very very inconvenient. I think the property manager should take a note of that, and if they don't have a govt provided container near the apartment then they should find a way out, like adding cost on the cleaning cost, and they themselves fix the disposal of waste to the container. . In our situation, at the time we had to check out, it was heavy snowfall, and we had to first go to a container place which was more than 1/2km away down the hill and throw the garbage there and then climb back again. Also about the checkout, they want us to checkout before 10. Which is fine, but for that we have to give keys in their office before 10, which is again almost 4-5km away from apartment. If you dont have CAR, then this apartment is surely not comfortable at all.

Positiv: On a beaucoup aimé l'emplacement et la vue magnifique devant le massif de l'Eiger.

Everything we needed it to be

Positiv: For us, the location was great. Off the beaten path, very quiet. The views from the front balcony were simply spectacular. Having access to a shared washer and dryer in the basement meant we could pack lighter for the trip. The kitchen was so well-equipped and clean. One convenient feature is that the bathroom and toilet are located in separate private rooms off the main hall so that one person can be in each without disturbing the other. Each of these rooms is also equipped with a sink. This makes getting ready much easier when there are multiple people in the house.

Negativ: We liked everything about the property itself. The drive to the property is a little circuitous, (about 10 min from downtown) but once you know where it is, no problem. The very popular scooter trail comes out on this road so you do need to watch out for those. It is possible to walk to the town --all downhill, but walking back up might not be as fun for some! There is a convenient bus stop a short walk away, and the bus to town is free with the visitor card you receive at check-in.
