A house with such a beautiful winter Grindelbat scenery.

Positiv: The view of the accommodation was so good. There are many cooking appliances.

Negativ: There was nothing I was disappointed about.

Positiv: Nice apartment, a bit dated, just room for 2. Everything provided eg kettle, toaster, microwave, oven. The location and view is exceptional.

Negativ: The info from the property on Booking.com stated that if we were arriving by train, we would be met at the station and taken to the chalet. A few days before departure I confirmed we were a couple with 2 suitcases, arriving around 2.30pm, expecting to be met, as per info provided on Booking.com. I was then told by the host/owner that we were to catch a bus, travel to the address on our own. I was surprised as this was not what had been stated on the site. If I'd been informed that the host was away or I'll and unable to meet us I would have understood. But, upon reading all the other reviews, they mentioned the friendliness of the host, his help etc. I do wonder why we were left to find the apartment on our own, using an expensive taxi. Also, we are a couple in our mid 70s. Pretty fit but had not expected to lug our suitcases down 51 steps to the chalet and an additional 20 steps down to the apartment. It was difficult. However, once settled, we did love the location, the view is astonishing.

Breathtaking view.

Positiv: The apartment is small but the view from the double doors and little back terrace is expansive and quite breathtaking. It makes the effort of being a little further up and out of the town centre well worth it especially as the bus is almost at your door.. The unit was comfortable and we could quite adequately self cater for our stay which is a real bonus in Switzerland. Ilias was easy to communicate with and even organised a Grindelwald bus pass for us before we arrived. In a town where for most accommodation it is quite expensive, this was real gem.

Negativ: We were very happy. Be aware there a few flights of stairs down to the house and apartment if you have heavy luggage.

Phenomenal view, lovely terrace and very peaceful.

Positiv: The view was really impressive. A great pleasure to sit on the terrace. Especially for having breakfast/lunch/diner. The host is very kind and very easy to approach for questions. There is a bus close by. For the fanatical sport enthusiasts, they can walk down the mountain by a beautiful path to Grindelwald in 12 minutes.

Negativ: Nothing.

heavenly romantic escape with a mesmerising view

Positiv: Everything was perfect! The location is just absolutely ideal, secluded enough so that you feel like it’s a little cozy escape from the world but still close enough to everything you need, there is a bus that stops right in front of the door but me and gf enjoyed the stroll down the hill too much to take the bus. the room and everything is very clean and has everything you may need for a comfortable luxurious stay. the veranda was the best part the view was heavenly at any time of the day but especially during the sunset when the sun casts it’s shadows on the mountains facing us. we had our best dinners there.

Negativ: it was perfect there was nothing to complain about at all.

Positiv: Fantastic location in a stunningly beautiful part of the world.

Negativ: Switzerland is not the cheapest part of the world

Klettersteigs and Monch summit. Great base for enjoying the local area.

Positiv: Great welcome from property owner and fantastic activity suggestions.

Negativ: Nothing. All good.

Positiv: Amazing view down and across the valley Very peaceful, clean and relaxing Host was quick to respond to any questions we had

Séjour relaxant et calme dans un endroit charmant.

Positiv: La propreté de l'établissement, le calme. Toutes les commodités étaient disponibles dans l'appartement. La télévision fonctionnait bien, beaucoup de programmes. Le Wifi était très bon.

Negativ: Rien en particulier si ce n'est peut-être l'éloignement relatif de Grindelwald.
